Pasties pop rock alternative music she loves you yeah yeah yeah

We are the pasties.

New York transplants all, we have come together with one shared goal: to create loud, intelligent power pop for the people. Also because we really, really want to host the VH1 Fashion Awards some day.

Devon Copley Devon Copley sings, plays guitar, and writes most of the songs. He grew up in suburban Buffalo, NY; survived a capella college by picking up an Epiphone. By turns romantic and cynical, his lyrics and voice set the tone of our tunes.

Devon previously sang with The Rhythm Method, and founded the acoustic group Mighty Vitamin before plugging in with the Pasties in 2000. He is also collaborating with producer/songwriter Alex Wong in a new project called The Animators.

Eric CasimiroEric Casimiro sings and plays guitar and keyboards. As the engineer of our recordings, he's a lot of why they sound so damn good. Eric came from Boston and he's played guitar since Santa brought him one since he was 5. He and Devon shared an apartment back when they both came to town, and started working together then.

Now a professional recording engineer, Eric has worked with artists ranging from Warren Haynes to Tribe Called Quest. He was previously a member of Hoboken's Urban Woods, and currently also works with singer/songwriter Neil.

Mike DavisMike Davis plays the bass, and sings. He actually plays a few other instruments, too, like accordion, but not in any Pasties songs yet. He's a jazz cat, with a degree in jazz performance and composition from the University of North Texas in Denton, but he actually likes to play pop. He got involved with the other guys in the summer of 2001. But he's done a whole lot of other stuff besides. Deep breath...

Mike has performed with the cabaret group Little Jack Melody & His Young Turks, Airto Moreira, Pancho Sanchez, Doc Cheetham, and his own avant-garde jazz ensembles "anonymous" and "sand." He is currently working with Swedish guitarist Niclas Hoglind on an upcoming album.

On top of all that, Mike is an accomplished professional photographer, and is responsible for most of the photos of the band you see on this site.

Mat DeveauMat Deveau plays the drums, and he does play them well. Another Texas refugee, Mat has been in New York less than three years but nonetheless has dated no less than three Rockettes.
